In the inception of Strand Hardware, the quest for an apt brand name commenced. Initially, "Tool- Mate" was conceived with a hyphen, eventually merging into a single word. Approximately 25 to 30 years ago, our initial inventory comprised of unbranded bench grinders, totalling a hundred units. It became evident that affixing a distinct label was imperative. Several prerequisites guided our brand selection: superior quality, catering to discerning woodworkers seeking reliable machinery. Subsequently, Brian Jolly embarked on a foreign venture to identify suitable manufacturers in Taiwan and China, learning vital lessons regarding brand integrity and building relationships. Today, Toolmate has evolved significantly, coexisting harmoniously with our upmarket "Jet" brand. We established a dedicated servicing, repair, and spares division, catering to woodworkers of all scales.

This Toolmate single bad dust collector is the ideal dust collector for home or light industrial use. The 125 mm inlet splits in 2 x 100mm outlets-ideal to use on 2 machines simultaneously. The top cloth bag acts as the filter whilst the lower plastic bag collects the coarse dust and chippings. Coupled to your planer or saw it will remove all solid material and will also cut down on dust in the air. Base castors aid movement around the workshop. Bag dia is 500 mm x 1200mm. (785 x 1200 when flat) Supplied without any 100 mm pipes or clamps needed for connecting to a woodworking machine.
A lighter-duty contractor saw on an open stand suitable for serious hobbyists or for light industrial duty. Solid cast iron middle section with grid-type side table tops with 1220mm long aluminium rails and fence. Fitted with two solid cast iron extension wings on either side. A sturdy rip fence with a positive lock lever on the front rail allows accurate sawing without any movement. Mounted on a sturdy open sheet metal stand.
