This Signature Series consists of nine (9) oversize 2.2” (56mm) sanding discs and is a complete assorted set from 80 to 1200 grit. It is very convenient, affordable and offers peace of mind to keep them on hand as you progress through the grits to complete your projects. Nick insisted we use Indasa Rhynogrip Redline sandpaper and make them the same dimensions he’d used in his turnings and sculptures. Only he’d previously used scissors to cut them out! And why? So the paper would curl over at the edges to sand flat and contoured, but at the same time, perpendicular side surfaces. We investigated Nick’s recommendations, tested and agreed with the features listed below – we didn’t ignore this woodturning rock star’s advice! So we had them made exclusively for the Signature Series. These sanding discs are real special! No other company offers sanding discs like these Hook & Loop Sanding Discs. They attach to the soft and medium H&L pads (10063 &10064) and fit all Merlin2® miniature long neck angle grinders. They work best, however, on any of our variable speed grinders which have excellent control using the speed controller. In woodturning and carving, these sanding discs are very flexible, bending to the shape of the pressure you apply to the backing pad so you can achieve a flawless, surface finish. When starting your sanding, we recommend beginning with the lowest (coarse) sandpaper grit and work up gradually toward the highest (fine) grit to suit (or complete) your masterpiece!
