Parting Tool Slim blade allows for a very fine parted section to be achieved. This is especially useful when grain match after parting is required. e.g. parting a lid from its box. The blade is 1¼" deep giving strength to such a thin section which eliminates flex and vibration.

Turnmaster Square Cutter is designed for generating square sections such as shoulders or tenons where a turned part is to be assembled into a hole – a chair leg is good example. This cutter is also useful on the outside of a round form, as well as long straight sections on spindle work. Excellent results can be achieved in shear scraping mode with cutter especially effective shear scraping on the outside of a bowl. Manufactured with Robert Sorby high speed steel and coated with durable titanium nitride coating ensures this cutter delivers outstanding material reliability. Sharpening: Use a diamond file or honing stone around the profile of the cutter. To gain best results and increase the longevity of the cutter this simple procedure should be done little and often. Use the TurnMaster cutter holder to reshape the profile on the Robert Sorby ProEdge using a zirconium or ceramic belt or on a grinding wheel using a standard abrasive material.
