These are detailing tools used on between-centre work, where the grain is running parallel to the lathe bed. Spindle gouges are used to create coves, beads and other profiles on goblets, vases, bed posts, candle sticks and other spindle projects.

Robert Sorby Bowl Gouge 3/4". A must in the tool kit of every bowl turner. These tools are ideal for making bowls. They can produce either massive profiling cuts or delicate finishing cuts as necessary.

The product warms the looks of wood, whilst the carnauba and microcrystalline waxes add a lustre to wood whilst making it splash and fingerprint resistant. Hampshire Sheen’s Danish Oil is food safe and compliant to EN71 toy safe when dry. The solvent used to aid drying is dearomatised white spirit, which is less irritating to skin and lower in odour than traditional white spirit, and is completely biodegradable.
