The Jet JPT-260 allows you to perform the operations of jointing and thicknessing on a professional level. Massive design with cast iron tables gives precision and vibration-free operation, a powerful asynchronous motor provides high performance and reliability.
Jointing and thicknessing are performed as usual - no special working methods are required; readjustment takes almost no time. The upper planer module, which combines both the table and the planing depth adjustment mechanism, is fully folded (the previously made settings are not lost), the chip cover is flipped over. The layout with a convertible top gives advantages both in work (better overview, better work chip breaking), and when servicing the planer shaft, access to which is uncomplicated.
Combined machine JPT-260 is optimal for use in workshops with a shortage of working space as a replacement for individual thicknesser and jointer. In comparison with them, it has a more loaded and complex design, the intensive operation of which may require increased maintenance costs.

Designed especially for the hobby woodworker, the JWP-12 is compact and very capable. Its powerful 1,800W motor quickly removes material up to 2.5mm thick with each pass. The block is fitted with two resharpenable HSS blades and gives 18,000 cuts/min, this coupled with the feed speed of 7m/min ensures an excellent ripple-free finish.
This combination Surfacer/Thicknesser (also called jointer/planer) is a light industrial rated machine with accurately ground, cast iron planing and thicknessing tables, together with a cast iron main frame.
The mass of the machine dampens much of the vibration and this, together with a 3 knife cutter block spinning at 4,000rpm, results in a very clean finish on the workpiece. The infeed and outfeed rollers can be deactivated when surfacing-resulting in less wear and more power to the cutterhead. The aluminium tilting fence offer exceptional accuracy and stability when planing the edge of timber and can be set to any angle from 45⁰- 90⁰.
The built-in dust extraction hood is positioned underneath the top table when surfacing and is swung up when thicknessing. Both of the tables must be tilted out of the way when thicknessing. The 3 knives in the cutter block can be is set using the excellent gauge supplied, or it can be done with any straight piece of wood using the traditional drag method with the back table as reference. Both tables are independently adjustable and electrical safety switches prevent accidental starting when the cutter head is exposed.
The ticknessing table has a locking lever that will keep it secure on any height when thicknessing. The machine is also fitted with anti-kickback fingers when in hicknessing mode. Tip: Apply wax to the tables on a regular basis. This is especially important when thicknessing timber. It allows the wood to glide through the planer without sticking to the bottom surface. Any good quality furniture wax will do.
This combination Planer/Thicknesser is a light industrial rated machine that is used to plane wood to the correct width and thickness.Because it is also a surfacer, it allows the user to get rid of twists, cups and bows prior to thicknessing.
Made mainly from cast iron, it’s a very heavy machine and an excellent choice for the serious woodworker. The mass of the machine dampens much of the vibration and this, together with the helical head type cutter block spinning at 4,000rpm, results in a very clean finish, especially on cross grained wood. The infeed and outfeed rollers can be deactivated when surfacing-resulting in less wear and more power to the cutterhead. The aluminium tilting fence offer exceptional accuracy and stability and is adjustable from 0⁰(90⁰)-45⁰
The dust extraction hood is positioned underneath the table for surfacing and must swing upwards when thicknessing. Both the top tables must be tilted out of the way when thicknessing. The machine is fitted with anti kickback fingers to avoid any kickback when thicknessing. The helical head cutterblock is fitted with 6 rows of cutters, arranged in a helical spiral. Cutters are staggered in such a way that each cutting edge overlaps the one in front of it, resulting in a very smooth finish. These 14 x14mm x 1.5mm cutters each has 4 cutting edges and can easily be swiveled to reveal a new cutting edge in case they becomes blunt or damaged (Cutters are throw-away type and can't be re-sharpened) . Both top tables are independently adjustable to ensure that they remain co-planer.The machine is fitted with electrical safety switches to avoid accidental starting without the dust extraction hood in place.
The ticknessing table has a locking lever that will ensure stability in the thickness setting. Machine must be used with a dust collector. NB) Apply wax to the thicknessing table on a regular basis.
