The Jet Tools JPT-310HH Combination Planer/Thicknesser Machine with Helical Cutterhead is optimally suited for use in woodworking workshops with limited space. The machine replaces the requirement of an individual Planer (Jointer) and a Thicknesser. This particular model is equally at home in both the demanding professional, as well as the amateur workshop, offering additional savings in your required workspace and is extremely cost efficient. To change from jointing (planing) operations to thicknessing mode, it is quick and easy to raise the upper module consisting of tables and frame, and to reset the Dust Extraction Hood and vica versa. This design also offer advantages both in operation and in servicing of the machine. The Helical Cutterhead, installed on the JPT-310HH, is usually only found on much more expensive machines. Helical Cutterheads have numerous advantages over standard three or four knife heads. These include much lower operating noise level, cleaner cutting of knots in the timber, much longer service life due to the multiple tetrahedral carbide knives, and very importantly, no need for complicated setup jigs and fiddling to get the cutters set at the right height.
