A two part trade hinge jig to cut hinge recesses in doors & linings using a plunge router. Two part, splits into two lengths with jointing plate. Hard wearing template in 12 mm phenolic plastic. One set up for door and frame. No need to adjust for repeated doors. Four adjustable apertures. For a 2-metre door hinges are 6 inch down and 9 inch up and the middle. Fourth hinge for fire doors (355 mm /14 inches down from top of top hinge). For doors 16 mm to 51 mm thick with separate (plant on) stops, or stops thinner than 11 mm. Swivel end plate for 3 mm gap to head of door. Use with a light duty plunge router with 1/4 inch collet. Includes three edge guides, three brad awls and 16 mm guide bush. Unibase may be needed. Contractor jig with interchangeable templates for use with a plunge router to cut the mortise & face-plate for larger locks quickly & accurately. Suitable for DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) lock size. 20 mm x 235 mm radius end faceplate, 24 mm x 235 mm radius end faceplate and 17 mm x 170 mm mortise. Adaptor plate included allowing smaller templates (239 mm x 60 mm) to be fitted (as supplied with standard LOCK/JIG). Suitable for doors 34 mm to 58 mm thick. An auger bit and drill are required to complete deep mortises. The jig requires a 1/2- inch plunge router with an 80 mm plunge, fitted with a 30 mm guide bush with 6 mm spigot & 12 mm diameter long reach cutter. A 1/4-inch plunge router can be used for the faceplate but will not achieve full depth of mortise.
