Strand Hardware was founded in November 1972, by Brian Jolly, and this year we celebrate our 49th birthday.
Originally called Peel Street Hardware and located in Peel Street, Port Elizabeth CBD, in 1995, Brian Jolly changed the name of his business to Strand Hardware, due to its then location in - Strand Street, Port Elizabeth.
The business grew steadily which required moving into larger premises three times over the years. What started as a retail operation has now evolved into three sectors. These are Wholesale & Retail, the Board Centre, and the Service Department.
In 2013, Brian Jolly handed over the reins to Stuart Keil, who purchased the business with the intention to continue to grow, grow and grow!
The business has done just that, for the past 49 years, Strand Hardware has gathered a wealth of knowledge and experience, ensuring that we offer our customers trusted value.
